Below are links to new printable CFPL fixture matrixes for the 1st and 2nd Divisions.
These include results of all matches played upto and including January 25th 2010 and the dates of fixtures for the remainder
of the season.

2009/10 Fixture Matrixes (.doc format)

2nd Division Update

During the first couple of weeks of the season there were a few teething problems in the 2nd Division where teams failed to fulfil their fixtures or hadn't fully commited themselves to joining the league.

There have also been several recent 'no shows' which has lead to fixtures not being fulfilled.

As a result of this an average winning score has been awarded to the non offending teams (in RED on the Fixtures link).
In the case of the opening day's fixtures non-offending teams are awarded the score of their FIRST win as stated in the constitution.

The 2nd Division table on the right has now been updated to include these amendments and all results and tables from previous weeks can now be viewed in full on the Fixtures/Results/Tables link.

If there are any questions regarding the rules of the constitution, please feel free to contact one of the committee members.
If there are any questions regarding the calculations of the scores on this website, please leave a message on the box on the right.

Over the course of the next few days there will be printable results/tables sheets on this site available to download.

Division 2 - Important Information

There have been some changes to the 2nd Division line up.  We, the committee, were wrongly informed that The Ashburton had dropped out.  It now appears that the governor is very keen to join the league and has a team. They will start from league week 3 (5/10/09).

As stated on the Website Forum, the Leighton Arms have joined the league and will take the place of The Ashburton as No. 1 on the fixture list.  The Ashburton will now be No.4 taking the place of The Wig & Gown.

Match Cards

There appears to have been some confusion regarding who is responsible for dropping the match card up to the Boston.  This has been the case with both new teams and some established teams.

Constitutions rule 29 states: The winning team will be responsible for informing the committee of the result.  This applies also to the winners of the singles, doubles etc.  The results card/sheets must be completed and forwarded to the committee to arrive no later than 12 noon on the Friday after the match.  Cards/sheets must be delivered to the Boston Arms where the signature book must be signed to verify delivery.  Any match card not received will result in the winning team losing ALL points.  Any singles, doubles etc result sheet not received in time will result in the player(s) losing their place in that competition.  Reinstatement thereafter is at the discretion of the committee.

The signature book and folder is kept behind the bar.  Please ask a member of staff.

Cancelled/Unfulfilled Fixtures

Already this season we have had teams from both divisions cancel matches without due notice or not turn up (see constitution rules 22 & 41). In this instance the matches will not be replayed but the average winning score will be given to the offended team.

As some teams had not played a game yet they will be awarded the score of their next win (constitution rule 31)

Can any teams that haven’t, make sure they bring their player registration forms into the Boston and sign the signature book to verify delivery ASAP.

Any additional information required can be found on this website.  Alternatively contact a member of the committee.

Liam Tarrant KO Cup 1st Round DRAW

The Liam Tarrant KO Cup 1st round draw will be held at the Boston Arms on Wednesday 7th October 2009.

This is not a compulsory attendance (finable) meeting however all captains / members are welcome to attend.

New Committee

At the AGM on August 17th the previous committee members of Dave Hempstead, Mick Gilligan, Stephen Moriarty and Mark Piercey stood down as head representatives of the CFPL.

Nominees were then requested to take the CFPL forward and after these nominees where accepted, and votes cast, the committee for the 2009/10 season onwards are as follows....

Simon Wild - Chairman
Ross Deller - Vice-Chairman
Alp Sezer - Secretary

PJ Fahey - Treasurer

I, John Cinnamond, will continue working with the new committee as usual in my role of updating the website when needed and the previous committee have made it aware that they will continue as CFPL members and will be available in an advisory capacity.

On behalf of the CFPL we'd like to thank the previous committee who gave up their time involuntary, in some cases for a vast number of years, and wish both them and the incoming new committee the very best of luck in the future.
